Dr. Vladimir Sevastyanov, Founder
Dr. Vladimir Sevastyanov is the founder of Multistat, Inc. He has extensive background in the field of design optimization. In 1988 he started the first Multistat, based in Moscow, to develop optimization and visualization software. In 1999 he started a new company, Multistat Inc as a California corporation and started work on the first versions of Visual Optimizer.
From 1994 to 2004 Dr. Sevastyanov worked as a consultant in the US, advising companies such as Toshiba, Canon, and Accelrys on assignments relating to design and development of distributed and web applications, advanced GUI applications, and network communications.
During the last 6 years he has been working on different aspects of design optimization technology. He and his team have invented model building algorithms for creating surrogate models and a method of visualization and graphical analysis for multi-dimensional models which received a patent in 2001. Most recently they completed the new patent pending optimization algorithms for Visual Optimizer 4.0.
Dr. Sevastyanov holds an M.S. and PhD degrees in Applied Mathematics from the Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics, and CNIITMASH respectively (Moscow, Russia).
