Pareto Navigator Method (PNM)

PNM allows the user to start with a previously found optimal solution and move accurately on the Pareto surface to further improve higher priority objectives. PNM is the first multi objective optimization method that improves selected objectives by stepping along the Pareto Frontier in a direction that guarantees improvement of the selected objectives. By way of comparison, for previous methods to move along the Pareto surface if a different solution is required, they need to expend extra evaluations on re-approaching the Pareto surface from new initial points. PNM will find new optimal solutions on every step, only requiring 2 to 3 evaluations per Pareto optimal solution.

Pareto Navigator Method (PNM) finds more pareto optimal designs from an existing optimal solution. From the graph, select your design to be improved. Tell PNM which objective(s) to improve and in what direction with the unique features of MinPlus and MaxPlus. Perfect for the scenario when you’re relatively happy with a design but want to explore trade-offs if you were to increase or decrease a few key criteria.
